A couple of Saturdays ago everyone in Mitchell County got mail. Was everyone as surprised as I was at the value of their property? This assessment took place when so many are being foreclosed on, when no houses are selling in Mitchell County, and our world is in economic turmoil . We have lost so many jobs here because so many industries have left town. Yet, we seem to have very valuable land and housing. I will sell mine any day for what it was appraised.
