Ron & Minnie with the Lucky Streak Band to Perform Saturday at the Carolina Theatre



Spruce Pine - Ron and Minnie Powell with the Lucky Streak Band will perform in concert Saturday night, August 11 at the historic Carolina Theatre in downtown Spruce Pine at 7:30 p.m. Ron and Minnie, together with Brandon Bailey on keyboard and guitar, Anthony Hensley on bass, banjo, and dobro, and Sergio Cassanego on percussion bring some of the finest of American Roots music to the stage. Their repertoire includes timeless ballads, legendary folk and country covers, a bit of blues and gospel, and original material written and arranged by the band. The band released their first CD "Lucky Streak" in March and has been performing regularly throughout the area this summer.


If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing Lucky Streak, come on out to the Carolina Theatre for an evening of good music performed on the same stage that once hosted Patsy Cline, Bill Monroe, Hank Snow, Sonny James, Kitty Wells, Chet Atkins, and String Bean, to name just a few. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 years and under.
