Penland School of Crafts to hold art auction

PENLAND - Penland School of Crafts will host an auction of student and instructor work at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Works include books, clay, glass, iron, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, textiles and wood. The auction takes place at the Northlight building on the Penland campus.

No admission charged. All proceeds benefit the Penland scholarship program. For more information, call 765-2359. Penland School is located in Mitchell County, 52 miles north of Asheville. Directions and a map can be found at www.penland.org.
