Spruce Pine Fire and Rescue will be having a bbq at entrance to Bear Den Campground July 1st. Will be serving pork bbq plates ( baked beans, slaw and hushpuppies), sandwiches and funnel cakes. Will start serving around 3:00 pm.
Also, the department will be serving bbq at the Spruce Pine station July 4th starting around 11:00 am. Come out and enjoy some good bbq and the fireworks display.
Spruce Pine Fire and Rescue is beginning a major building program for a new fire station.
