BAMA-Que BBQ

well, we drive by and always see a lot of cars...we work close and have wanted to stop...tonight, well we did...I would not recommend it to anyone. We ordered...I got nacho's, the husband got wings..both were horrible. My nacho's...well, tasted like canned cheese, cold chicken, chips from a bag and COVERED in chili powder. His wings were actually worse. They were so tiny. They were half the size of your pinkie. They should have been taken off the menu for the night if the owner/manager knew they were so small. (or at least inform us before hand) Well, when the server came back to check, she asked if we would like to see a manager...we told her yes, and explained that it was not her fault...we obviously just ordered wrong. We needed to re-order. Well, the manager came, he was very polite, and said he knew the wings were small, that's why they were giving 20 for the price of 12. So, with that we asked him to order for us..."whats good...just give us what is your best seller. We always drive by, we just ordered wrong" Well he returns, explains our new order and leaves. We never saw our server again, and now our drinks are empty, and he never returned...we had no silverware, empty drinks, and no sauces. I got the half baked chicken, it was good. He got the brisket, and with some sauce it might have been good. We were just very disappointed that never again were we checked on. We were on the patio and had 2 other servers around us. When we were leaving one server did make eye contact with me and ask if we needed anything? Well, no now were leaving. It was obvious that they didn't want us to return. I even told the manager that he should have apologized for the original order, and he said "no and I wont!"...Sorry to post this, we did try and talk to someone while we were there. We paid $24+ for our dinner and left the server (who only took our order and delivered drinks) a $10 tip. We will obviously never go back...why? Only because they truly didn't care. I will spend my hard earned money where they give good service, good food, and care about their customers.
Good luck Bama-que..Maybe you can take the criticism and show some true feelings. Spruce pine is too small for such mistakes.

My husband and I own BAMA-que and I was very disappointed to see the post by Buddy Mahon...I would appreciate a phone call to discuss your experience at our restaurant. I take your allegations extremely seriously. In fact, the only complaints I have heard so far have been from the other restaurants in town from taking their business. My husband and I have eaten at Bama BBQ twice now and find it to be very good. The brisket sandwich and peppery greens are delicious!

If you haven't been to BamaQue you're missing out on the BEST BBQ! Those Pit Masters really know their stuff!! The homemade sides can't be beat! And you can't go wrong topping off your meal with that awesome Banana Puddin'~ Grandma would be proud!! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed and every is very friendly! What a wonderful addition to Spruce Pine!! It's true you may have to wait at times... but brother let me tell you it's well worth the wait!! Hats off to Baba-Que for bringing this great BBQ to town!!

Bama Que serves up awesome bbq, chicken, ribs, etc. It is by far the best place around-great food,spotlessly clean,&friendly folks...a delightful surprise hidden away in this town. My family and I will be regular customers!

the food took 45 minutes to get to us. It was cold. the service was terrible. then, my husband got sick that night from eating that bad meat. somebody should call the health inspector on this guy!
